Psychotherapist
(she/her)
My work focuses on helping children, teens, and college-age clients deal with stressors and challenges in healthier ways. By working with my clients to create a safe and supportive environment, we clear barriers and create space for them to realize their potential.
When working with young people I welcome their creativity and insight. I use sand tray, art, and play-based skills, finding the techniques that appeal most to them individually. I enjoy working with those going through big transitions in their lives and helping with the challenges this can have on self-esteem and confidence.
I use EMDR and EMDR sand tray therapy to help young people reprocess the mixed-up thoughts and feelings they are having so they will feel lighter and more positive about themselves. I also use elements of attachment theory, TF-CBT, TA, and REBT. I have experience working with adopted and kinship families, plus young LGBTQ+ individuals and their families.
