Elizabeth Douty, MA, LPC, NCC
Psychotherapist
(she/her)
My therapeutic approach is centered on you, emphasizing collaboration and rooted in empathy. We will navigate your goals and challenges as a team, to promote healing, resilience, and empowerment. I specialize in EMDR and integrate techniques from polyvagal theory, mindfulness, CBT, and ego state/parts work. Through our work, we will cultivate a mindset of self-compassion that empowers you not merely to survive but to thrive. I have deep trust in our innate ability to heal, which emerges as every part of ourselves is greeted with safety and acceptance.
My expertise includes supporting young adults (aged 18-30), addressing substance use concerns, and working with the LGBTQIA+ community. As a queer therapist, I bring both personal understanding and professional knowledge to my practice. I am dedicated to creating a therapeutic space that is inclusive, affirming, and respectful of all gender identities and sexual orientations. With a deep sensitivity to the unique experiences of LGBTQIA+ individuals, I offer a safe haven for exploring identity, relationships, and personal growth.
